Taking It All Back . . .

It’s time we took it all” back! That’s right–ALL”! All the holidays, all the holy days, all the symbols, all the rituals, all the healings, all of the Word of God, all the miracles, signs, and wonders, everything! I’ve had it with darkness running roughshod over our earth, our people, our understanding, and the Kingdom of God!

Talk about Stockholm Syndrome, we’ve bought into the power & authority of darkness big time! Not only have we capitulated to darkness, we’ve been actively collaborating with the enemy of our souls! Why have we conceded our holidays, our holy days, our God-given authority as Jesus’ disciples, and our power to heal, forgive, restore, reconcile, and extend the gospel to all nations to darkness?

Who said “Sickness and suffering is God’s Will?” (It’s NOT!)  Who said “Signs and healings would stop as a sign of discipleship after the first Seventy-two died?” (It wasn’t Jesus!)  Who said “healing, restoration, deliverance, and reconciliation is not our generation’s responsibility as good stewards of His Kingdom?” (It IS!)  Who said “we’re only called to do what is humanly possible?” (Some seriously lazy slackers!)  Who said “Victory over sin and sickness is reserved for the ‘sweet bye and bye’?” Darkness, that’s who! So why are we all agreeing with him???

Take Halloween for example! Christians have conceded Halloween to the powers of darkness. We’ve given that holiday over to the children of darkness, and steadfastly discouraged believers from partaking in the celebrations, as “evil” and “demonic.” Says who? Who gave Darkness the right to celebrate? Who said Satan could have his own holiday?

God’s Reality is, Satan is defeated! Right? So if Halloween is any celebration for Christians, it’s a celebration of his Defeat!! Don’t call it the Harvest Festival, don’t celebrate Fall, Celebrate His Fall, His Defeat!!

Let’s celebrate Halloween as the death of darkness! Let’s celebrate November 1st, All Saints Day, as the victorious entry of God’s saints into the fullness of His Kingdom! Let’s celebrate November 2nd, All Soul’s Day, for all the faithful who have crossed the finish line into the Kingdom! Let’s celebrate His victory over death, sin, and darkness! Let’s not submit to the presence or power of darkness in our lives by honoring or acknowledging its mischief-ever!

Christians, Rise from your stupor and celebrate! Take back the freedom from sin and sickness that Jesus won for us! Jesus Reigns, Jesus has conquered death and sin, and by His stripes we have been healed!

The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!” And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:17-20)

Remember? He promised us, remember?

The person who trusts me will not only do what I’m doing but even greater things, because I, on my way to the Father, am giving you the same work to do that I’ve been doing. You can count on it. If you love me, show it by doing what I’ve told you. (John 14:12,15)

Jesus is Lord!

O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:55-57)

For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he who came by water and blood–Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood.

And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree. If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son.

Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. (1 John 5:4-13)
